Antique Alpine Wood Box 2 Layers Self-Locking Design for Brushes Pens Trinkets Case
Estate item.  Ingenious self-locking container using the sliding lid to secure the two-layer storage, which our gallery attempts to communicate.  Ostensibly for paintbrushes and painting materials, the piece can be adapted to house pens, pencils, trinkets or other items that will fit into a box with over-all measurements of 9-1/8" x 1-3/4" and 1-1/2" deep.
Condition:
Very good antique/vintage condition with still-bright colors decorating the lid.  Sliding lid works smoothly to reveal two layers of storage as demonstrated in our gallery.  Provenance written on base. Likely missing metal insert for mixing paints.  No maker that we can find and appears unique to the Web.
