Bard & Brothers was an early predecessor to Mabie Todd & Bard, itself a forerunner of Mabie Todd & Co. of New York and London. Bard and Brothers produced pens for only two years, 1849 and 1850. A very responsive and lovely nib in a beautiful retractable gold and ebony holder.
